A Gift Guide For September

September Gift Guide | Growing Up Herbal | An autumn themed guide of homemade gifts for natural mamas!

I love the month of September. The weather begins to cool, fall breezes begin to blow through these mountains, I get in the mood for autumn scents and flavors, and I start wanting to slow down and do meaningful work. Today I’m sharing an “Autumn” inspired gift guide featuring beautiful handmade items from a variety of Etsy shops. Enjoy mama!

Fun facts about September:

  • Richard Saunders, the 17th century English astrologer and physician, said it was good to eat pomegranates and goat’s milk in September.
  • September has three birth flowers: the forget-me-not, the morning glory and the aster. Forget-me-nots represent love and memories, asters represent love as well, and the morning glory represents unrequited love. These are all very passionate flowers.
  • Alexander Fleming discovered the drug Penicillin on September 15th, 1928.
