Homemade Insecticidal Soap Recipe

Soap Concentrate Ingredients:

Soap Spray Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons of Insecticidal Soap Concentrate


  1. Blend all ingredients for your soap concentrate together, and store it in a clean glass canning jar. Label for future use.
  2. To make your soap spray, combine water and soap concentrate in a glass spray bottle. Shake well and spray over plants daily for up to a week, making a new batch of the spray each day.

    Thank you, is Dawn required? Or will Castile soap work?

      I’m not actually sure. Everyone recommended Dawn, but I didn’t get the reason why. Perhaps because it’s thicker? You could make a small batch with Castile and see if that works just as well. Sorry I couldn’t be of much help here.
