When I need to relax, you can be sure a hot herbal bath is the first thing on my mind. Same goes if I’m looking for a little self-care as well. And when it comes to prepping for Valentine’s Day, nothing beats a bath complete with a floral oat bath soak followed by an herb-infused oil to nourish my skin afterward. From there, getting ready for an evening out with my handsome husband can commence!
If you’re looking for a way to wind down for the evening or to do something good for your skin, let me share my new favorite floral oat bath recipe with you. This recipe uses the skin-soothing power of oats along with the astringent and relaxing actions of floral plants to not only nourish your skin, but nourish your mind as well.
DIY Floral Oat Bath
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons calendula petals
- 2 tablespoons chamomile flowers
- 2 tablespoons lavender flowers
- 2 tablespoons rose petals
Directions
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Transfer to a labeled glass storage jar and seal tightly. When ready to use, place 1/4 cup of mix into a muslin drawstring bag. Tie the bag tightly and toss it into the bath as it fills with water. The floral oat bath will infused as the bath fills and as you soak.
