Welcome To Growing Up Herbal!

Welcome To Growing Up Herbal! | Growing Up Herbal | Welcome to my online home, mama! I'm here to tell you who this site is for and what it's all about! Come on in and make yourself comfy!

I’m so excited for you to be here today! Welcome!

I wanna start by telling you a little bit about what this place is about, who it’s for, and why it’s here.

About Growing Up Herbal

The basis of this site is to help you learn how to take charge of your children’s health naturally… mainly through the use of herbs. It’s to encourage you to take responsibility for your and your families health so that you’re confident and capable of making good decisions when it comes to your health… either on your own or with your doctor.

Here I want to provide a place that makes learning about your child’s health fun, simple, easy, exciting, and soooo not boring because I hate boring. Boring is not me. Besides… who learns anything from boring anyway?

I want to show you a variety of avenues that you can take to help your kiddos stay strong, healthy and prevent sickness and disease from creeping in. Then when they do get sick, you’ll have learned what you can do to treat them naturally and help give their body what it needs to heal itself.

I like keeping things simple and uncomplicated. So whether it’s in the meals I make for my family, the vacations we go on, the cleaning supplies I use, or the way I think… simple, fun, and beautiful is the way I roll!

This is my space and my journey in living life naturally. I would LOVE for you to make it your space too… a place to share your journey to natural health for yourself and your family too.

Who Growing Up Herbal Is For

Growing Up Herbal is mainly written to natural minded mamas… although dads are more than welcome here too.

It doesn’t matter what “level” you’re at. All are welcome. Everyone has something to offer, be it a question, a comment, or an experience they’d like to share.

Basically, all that matters is that you have a desire to learn more about taking charge of your and your family’s health naturally.

Why I’m Doing This

I’m an herbalist, and I’m a registered nurse. I’ve been exposed to both sides of the coin, so to speak. I think modern medicine, drugs, doctors, and hospitals all have their place in our lives. I’m grateful for them and how far we’ve come as a people when it comes to the advances we’ve made in medicine. Many lives are being saved that once weren’t.

But… I feel that these things are WAY overused, and I don’t think they should be our first resort. I think we should focus more on prevention of sickness and disease than treatment of it. I think we’ve shied away from our responsibility for our health and given it away to the doctors.

Now I’m not a health nut, and I wouldn’t consider myself a 100% crunchy mama. I enjoy unhealthy things, and I don’t do everything natural under the sun. This is a journey. I’m further today than I was 5 years ago, and I plan to be doing better for myself and my family 5 years from now than I am today.

I enjoy living an active, exciting life which means the unhealhty things have to be kept to a minimum if I don’t want it to affect my families overall health in a seriously negative way. You have to be flexible. You have to have perspective. And I must say, I love the 80\20 rule. It helps keep me grounded, not feeling like a failure, and knowing that I always have room for improvement.

Is This The Place For You?

If you can relate to what I’m saying and you’re a natural minded mama looking to learn more about living life naturally, if you wanna learn more about feeding your family healthy, real food meals, decreasing toxins in your body and home, and using herbs and other natural remedies to keep your family healthy or to help them get healthy when they’re sick… then welcome to Growing Up Herbal!

I’m so glad to have you!

Here’s to us living a full, fun, healthy life and enjoying every minute of it!

Blessings, Meagan
