The Art of Simpling is an absolute delight – a thorough introduction to working with herbs and making a variety of preparations. I have been on the herbal path for some time now but when I want to get to know a new herb, I get this course manual out again and work through it with the plant. It feels like a gentle yet knowledgeable hand is guiding me through my exploration of the herb and all it’s uses. It covers safety, practicalities, preparations, using your senses, keeping records and more – for a short course, I find it covers a lot of ground! I love it and know that I will come back to it time and again when I want a reminder of the art of simpling. The course is also visually beautiful so just reading through it is a pleasure 🙂

I enjoyed The Art of Simpling where I got to choose the herb of my choice and given the opportunity to work on the various activities. The activity i liked best was making infused oil and learning different uses. It was nice to know the various uses. Above all, Meagen spent a lot of time instructing students like me on different areas of learning herbs and was always available whenever there were questions or had a word or two to comment on something we didn’t quite understand. Once again, Meagen, it was an honor to have you as an instructor. Thank you, ever so much for your love and support!

  3. Sandra Keller says:

The Art of Simpling course takes you step by step on how to know a new herb. The preparations, monograms, and recipes provided in the lessons helped me get more acquainted with the herb I selected to research and known more in-depth. In addition, I enjoyed the interviews and valuable tips of recognizable herbalists such as Rosalee de La Foret, Rosemary Gladstar, and Phyllis D. Light. In conclusion, The Art of Simpling is an excellent course for beginners that want to go to the next step in their studies of herbs.

I heartily recommend this short course
I have been umming and ahhhing for ages about herbal studies too scared of committing to study in case I would not be able to keep up
This was perfect – a lovely relaxed pace with an excellent balance of study and practical
It also helped me to focus
I’ve not been studying herbs for long and the wealth of information online is overwhelming so much to know, so much to discover.
This course helped me slow down, focus, immerse myself, which has left me feeling so much more confident in what in know and also how to proceed with further studies.
Thank you so much Meagan for showing me your simple, slow and seasonal way
    Many blessings

Meagan really shows you how to delve deep into plants while in this course! Everyday was full of new exercises, prompts, and thoughts as we got closer to the herb we were studying during this class! Very personal, very educational, and very personable to whichever plant you choose. Loved the whole experience. 🙂 would recommend!
